DZ Restaurants, owner and operator of Chianti Il Ristorante, Forno Bistro, Boca Bistro and Pasta Pane Rustic Italian Bistro, have announced today the sale of Pasta Pane Rustic Italian Bistro.
Vice President Nancy Bambara explained, “There were a number of factors we weighed prior to making our decision; some being the forthcoming changes to minimum wage, overtime, and healthcare. In the end we felt shifting Pasta Pane into an independent, smaller company was the solution for DZ Restaurants. The philosophy at DZ Restaurants has always been Guest First. We feel that this move will allow us to continue to provide our guests with memorable dining experience at a reasonable cost.”
Bambara continued, “The only way we can continue to grow as a company without passing increasing costs along to our guests is to get creative and shrink our overall structure. In this case that means selling Pasta Pane to concentrate on our three Saratoga Springs locations and The DZ Farm in Galway, NY.”
DZ Restaurants is happy to announce the successor and new owner of Pasta Pane. A graduate of The Culinary Institute of America, Nicholas Porreca was part of the Pasta Pane family as the original Executive Chef when we opened in 2010. Nicholas, wife Nicole and their twins Sonny and Lila will continue Pasta Pane’s warmth and neighborhood feel. “I feel extremely excited for this opportunity.” commented Porreca “I plan to continue the restaurant’s commitment to its guests, its passion for cuisine, and the commitment to its staff.”
“We too are excited about the acquisition as we know Pasta Pane will continue in the same format and structure on which it has been built.” added Bambara. She also went on to say that all gift cards and Preferred Guest points earned at Pasta Pane will remain valid at DZ Restaurants’ Saratoga Springs locations.
“We hope Clifton Park welcomes Nick Porreca to Pasta Pane with the same warmth and generosity with which they welcomed us.” said David Zecchini, owner of DZ Restaurants “We also invite our Pasta Pane guests to continue having unparalleled dining experiences with us at our other DZ Restaurant locations.”
