In 2004, David Zecchini opened Forno Bistro inside the Old Firehouse building on Broadway in Downtown Saratoga. At the time, the interior of the restaurant was designed to be warm and inviting; centered on its stone hearth wood burning pizza oven and authentic, Tuscan-style cuisine. Dark woods flickered in the candlelight, metal sculptures and light fixtures designed to resemble dancing flames were suspended from the high ceilings, wine bottles on wrought iron racks ascended skyward and copper accented the front windows.
Over time however, even the brightest flames begin to fade; even the hottest fires begin to smolder. Now, 13 years after opening what is still one of the most consistently popular restaurants in Saratoga Springs, David has decided the time has come to reignite the fire and re-imagine the Forno Bistro concept.
Forno Bistro will close for renovations on February 26th with a target relaunch date of March 17th. Pictures and videos of the renovations will be shared on the Forno Bistro Facebook page and across all of DZ Restaurants social media platforms.
DZ Restaurants’ other two Saratoga locations, Chianti Il Ristorante and Boca Bistro, will be open regular hours and accepting reservations and walk-ins during Forno Bistro’s renovation.
