New for the Saratoga summer at Boca Bistro is the Broadway Bluebird, devised by the restaurant’s manager, Phil Santandrea. It is utterly unlike a traditional Bluebird cocktail, which calls for gin, triple sec and blue curacao, but, Santandrea says, “Breaking tradition is what we pride ourselves on at Boca.”
Broadway Bluebird

Ingredients
2 ounces ginger-spiced dark rum
1 ounce citrus vodka
4 ounces ginger beer
1 ounce blueberry simple syrup
Method
Combine rum and vodka in an iced highball glass. Pour ginger beer over ice and float blueberry syrup. Garnish with lemon slice.
