Growing up in Italy, David Zecchini spent many days helping his grandparents on their farm in the Abruzzo region near Rome, picking vegetables, tending to the animals and harvesting grapes for wine. “In Italy, it’s the way to live for some people,” said Zecchini, co-owner of DZ Restaurants in Saratoga Springs. His love of the land and eating freshly grown food set the table for the latest venture at Zecchini’s growing restaurant chain: owning a 65-acre farm in Galway, about 10 miles west of downtown Saratoga Springs.
